Tackling first-run, first-time user prompts by Office customization tool (OCT) and Office ADAM templates

This topic popped up in my mind while working with LoginVSI (the benchmarking tool for VDI) wherein the script that simulates a task worker environment in virtual desktops (horizon view, xendesktop etc.) stuck at the first run prompts (recommended settings, EULA, feedback/survey etc.) while opening office applications (word, outlook, excel) or adobe reader. So to avoid or prevent this from  happening, either we use OCT or office (2007/2010/2013) ADAM templates leveraging GPO. So below are the links that can get you resolve these issues in any environment where you want to disable these pop ups.
How to manage the Opt-in or First things first prompt when Microsoft Office 2013 applications are first launched (this article clearly mentions the 2 ways to disable first run prompts in office applications – Using OCT or by using ADAM templates)
Office 2010 Administrative Template files (ADM, ADMX/ADML) and Office Customization Tool download (this is the download link to ADAM templates and OCT.
How to use ADAM templates:
Login using administrative credentials to your Active Directory server or any server where GPMT (group policy editor) is installed.
Pre-requisite: you should have admin privileges to the GPO where you want to import the templates)
GPO editor
Once imported, navigate to the following location to enable the ‘Disable Opt-in Wizard on first run’
Policies > Classic ADM > Microsoft Office 2010 > Privacy > Trust Center
Hope this helps…Thanks.
